Being a good field lacrosse player requires excellent footwork and agility.  Footwork enables players to defend, challenge for loose balls and attack the net.  Goalies require good footwork to move their body towards shots and then run upfield to create fast breaks.  We utilize part of our field time in the program to develop the students’ agility.  In the video below watch some of the drills we do to develop agility.  We are focusing on moving our feet and quick change of direction.  If players are able to stop quickly and return to top speed immediately they will become effective players in both the offensive and defensive parts of the field.
