University of Michigan plays lacrosse in the MCLA (Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association).  According to Wikipedia, “The MCLA is a national organization of non-NCAA, men’s college lacrosse programs. The MCLA oversees game play and conducts national championships for over 200 teams in ten conferences throughout the United States and Canada. The MCLA provides a governing structure much like the NCAA, with eligibility rules, All-Americans and a national tournament to decide national champions in both Divisions I and II.” The University of Michigan has been a top team in the MCLA for several years and has won the National Championship in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Simon Fraser plays in the MCLA and had the opportunity to play Michigan last season losing 22-10.  The talent level at the top MCLA schools is very good and a school like Michigan boasts incredible facilities that the lacrosse team has access to.  Many of the MCLA students pay dues to help pay the team costs with a bulk of the costs being covered through fundraising and sponsorships.  So why would a student want to play lacrosse at the University of Michigan.  Click here and learn by reading their website.

This post has been written to provide information on the MCLA, but more importantly to share the videos of Pat Stansik.  Pat Stansik is a member of the University of Michigan lacrosse club and has compiled some videos of lacrosse way of life at the University of Michigan.  Here is one of those videos.
