Shooting with Zack Greer – Video

Quick video of Zack Greer showing some shooting pointers.  Zack Greer, a Canadian,  played for Duke in the NCAA and now plays for the Minnesota Swarm of the NLL.  When we work with shooters we emphasize “kissing” the lead shoulder to help the player with extending his arms and loading up the shot.  Greer does a great job of having his arms pulled back to generate more power.  I also like how he steps into the shot and plants strongly on the lead foot.  When he is done shooting he is in a good position looking at the net.  Most of his shots are sidearms not overhand.  We stress having a strong overhand shot before proceeding to the other shots.  It still is a decent video of how to generate power in the shot.
