Notre Dame lacrosse has established itself as one of the premiere lacrosse programs in the NCAA.  Virtually everyone is aware of the tradition of Notre Dame football, but now Notre Dame is becoming known as the “top dog” in lacrosse.  When you want to be the best it takes a major commitment and looking at the weight room at Notre Dame you recognize that Notre Dame takes its sports seriously.  What I like about The Lacrosse Program is that almost everything that Notre Dame does we do can do on a smaller scale.  We have excellent leaders in fitness that work on functional strength and preparing our student-athletes to compete in their sport.  We have sleds, ladders, and Olympic lifting stations.  What we also have are dedicated professionals willing to work with students.  Success, however, is driven by the athlete.  Even at big time schools like Notre Dame, their success will be driven by their players and how hard they work.  Knowing what would be available to me as a player if I went to Notre Dame would inspire me to get better.
