The Sherwood Park Junior B Titans met the Edmonton Junior A Miners in an exhibition game at Servus Place in St. Albert.  The game was a blowout for the Miners, who won the game 20-7.  The game was played on a very slippery floor, as happens in Edmonton lacrosse.  It makes me crazy going out to lacrosse games in the city and watching players slip all over the floor.  it sure makes the game brutal to play and brutal to watch.

The Titans were not sharp as their defensive play was poor and the offense was trying to figure itself out.  Add in the fact the Miners killed the Titans in reverse transition, it added up to a big mess after 40 minutes.  The last 20 minutes were the biggest bright spot as the teams played to a 3 – 3 tie.

There is a lot to learn for the Titans specifically how hard you need to work in the game of lacrosse.  It is a very tough sport and requires conditioning, something the team must improve upon.  I see some serious running in the Titans future.

Highlights from the game are below.
