Jimmy Quinlan New Edmonton Rush Captain – Video

Great day at Vimy Lacrosse today as Derek Keenan, Head Coach of the Edmonton Rush, came out to run the floor session for all the students.  In addition, Mr. Keenan introduced our own Jimmy Quinlan as the new Edmonton Rush Captain.  He presented Jimmy with the Captain jersey in front of all the students.  It was an awesome event for all our students to be a part of.

The Edmonton Rush get a great captain.   Jimmy will bring a great work ethic, a professional approach to the game and an incredible commitment to the organization.  For several years Jimmy has been the face of the organization.  He has been with the team since Day 1 and being a local player, he has faced the media through the good, the bad and the ugly.  To play the game of box lacrosse you need to be passionate for the game.  It is not for the weak of heart and requires a fierce competitive spirit.  This is what Jimmy will bring, each and every day of the season.

One thing I truly believe is that Jimmy respects the game of lacrosse, its traditions and its importance to those that love the sport.  He will definitely ensure that his Rush team mates are held to high level of accountability on and off the floor.  Great to see him take the captaincy.  Bring on the new season!
