The NCAA Lacrosse championships are over and the winners of Division I are the Loyola Greyhounds featuring Canadian long pole Reid Acton.  The field season starts in the cold of February and winds through spring until you hit the Memorial Day weekend at Gillette Stadium.  Loyola was unbelievable on Championship day, playing strong defense and taking the ball hard to the net on offense.  It was awesome lacrosse and the speed and tempo that Loyola played with was fun to watch.  Maryland couldn’t pick up the pace and their slow down approach does not work when you are trailing all game.  I was happy to see that Maryland could not slow the game down.  They are over coached and the entire game becomes to much of a game of stalls when they are in the lead.  Shot clock?  Hopefully soon.

Enjoy the highlights of the game.
