Warriors Win the Pee Wee A Provincial Title – Video

The Warrior kids did it the hard way.  It was a tough weekend spent in steamy Red Deer arenas for the boys, but through some very tough games they persevered.  The Warriors met their nemesis, the West Edmonton Blues, in the final.  The Blues are an exceptional team loaded with talent from the goalie on out.  They are well coached and play hard.  Add to this that the Blues had dominated the Warriors all season long and the odds were stacked against the Warriors.  It was great lacrosse to watch on both end, back and forth action, some great passes, some great goal tending, two teams of excellent lacrosse players competing their hearts out in very physical and exhausting sport.  I see some great lacrosse coming in the future based on the talent that represented the Pee Wee division at the provincials.  It was fun to be a part of and being on the winning team obviously is a little sweeter.  I will enjoy the win as I hope the boys do with the knowledge that there are lots of wins and losses ahead of them.  It was a great ride and I enjoyed the entire season.  It is always nice to win your last game and go off on a winning note.  A 9-6 win in the Gold Medal game is something to cherish.  Here is a brief video of the end of game celebration.
