Two overtime games, one decided in the extra period and the other remaining a tie.  Game 11 was another down to the last shot affair against the Miners.  After giving up a 9 – 4 lead, Tyler Machado ended the game in overtime for us, helping the Titans secure their sixth win for the season.  Machado has been a very strong rookie for us this year, contributing some very big goals.  It was a tale of two games and the Titans dominated the first half and then the Miners took over.  We are 4 – 0 – 1 versus the Miners with two of those games going into overtime.  The games have been very tight and there definitely is a fine line between winning and losing in this league.

Game 12 was played in the sweat box of Stu Peppard Arena against the Raiders.  Last time we met up, the Raiders hammered us 17 – 4.  If we were not ready to play we knew it could be a long evening.  The boys were ready for this game as we took them to overtime, only to see nothing resolved.  Game ended 11 – 11 in a very entertaining game with lead changes, late goals and outstanding goaltending by our goalie, Lukas Frost.  Lukas has been a symbol of perseverance.  He is one of the hardest working, most sincere young man I have ever met.  I have known Lukas for eight years.  When things were not going great for him, he never quit and continued to compete for his team mates.  Last night’s game he played his heart out for the Titans and made so many crucial saves to get us into overtime and keep it a tied game.  That was the best game I have ever seen Lukas play.  We may have not won the game, but for me watching Lukas’ performance was the highlight of the night.  He did exactly what he has been doing since I met him.  Playing hard for his team.

Game today against the Mounties.  Yesterday’s game took a lot out of us.  Hope we hydrated well last night and got some rest.  Need to bring it again today.  Looking forward to it.
