Vimy Lacrosse Shadow Days Now Open – Video

Vimy Lacrosse is now accepting Shadow Day requests for the 2015/16 school year. A Shadow Day is a day where prospective student-athletes can come to Vimy and spend a day in the classroom and receive instruction in Lacrosse. On the Shadow Day, student-athletes will be paired with a current Vimy student-athlete who will guide them through the day. Parents can meet with the program leads before or after the day to discuss any questions that they may have about Vimy Lacrosse.

The Vimy Lacrosse program combines skill development while integrating game play situations. This past Fall the Vimy Lacrosse students were able to participate in the first annual Harvest Cup Field Lacrosse Tournament hosted at Vimy Ridge, the U of A Field Lacrosse Tournament, the Spokane Northwest Classic and the Seattle Adrenaline Tournament. Overall this Fall Season was the most successful season on record with the students playing in over 25 fall ball field games. Plans are in place to lead the first Vimy female team to Las Vegas for a field lacrosse tournament. This is the type of game experience that Vimy Lacrosse is striving for to enhance the students overall development.  The future plans include expanding the tournament play to provide the student-athletes with opportunities to showcase their skills to NCAA colleges.
